About Me
Bienvenue!
My name is Courtney Glassburn, and I am a recent graduate of Clemson University. I graduated in December 2022 with a Language & International Health degree.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for learning languages and a desire to serve others, so I knew coming to Clemson, the Language & International Health major was perfect for me. As an incoming freshman, I believed that the most direct path to combining my interests was to become a Physician’s Assistant, but throughout my courses and experiences of the past few years, I have shifted my career goals. I realized that I was not excited by my science courses and that I enjoyed the communication and writing aspects of my health and French courses. It became clear to me that I was really interested in affecting societal change once I started my internship with Clemson Engineers for Developing Communities. The internship allowed me to use problem-solving, creative thinking, writing skills, and French. I felt a sense of purpose and was emotionally connected to the project we worked on.
Throughout my studies at Clemson, I have learned the importance of advocacy, ethics, and effective policies in health care. I am eager to attend law school and combine my interests in human rights and health. My goal is to become an attorney, in hopes of providing a voice to those who feel they do not have one.
