Internship with Aquaculture
Clemson Engineers for Developing Communities (CEDC) is a service-oriented and student-driven program at Clemson University. CEDC operates under a corporate organizational structure and works on 15 and 20 projects per semester. For my internship, I worked with the Aquaculture project group to help with the production of a low-cost tilapia feed in the Central Plateau of Haiti that will stimulate aquaculture production by using in-country resources. We hope that this will not only improve aquaculture farming, but also improve access to nutritious food, create jobs, and provide an opportunity for economic growth in communities in the Central Plateau.
